The execution standard for outdoor non expansion steel structure fireproof coating is GB14907-2018, which is a similar product to the execution standard GB14907-2002 for outdoor thick steel structure fireproof coating. The principle of fire resistance and thermal insulation of this coating: When the fireproof coating is exposed to fire, the coating basically does not change in volume, but the thermal conductivity of the coating is very low, which delays the speed of heat transfer to the protected substrate. The coating of the fireproof coating itself is non combustible, acting as a barrier and preventing thermal radiation on steel components, avoiding direct attack of flames and high temperatures on steel components. In addition, some components in the coating react with fire to generate non combustible gases, which is an endothermic reaction and consumes a large amount of heat, which is conducive to reducing the system temperature. Therefore, the fireproof effect is significant, providing efficient fire and thermal insulation protection for steel. When the coating of this product is exposed to fire, it changes to form a glaze like protective layer, which can isolate oxygen, making it effective in preventing fire and thermal insulation. Oxygen cannot be in contact with flammable substrates that are protected, In order to avoid or reduce combustion reactions, thick coated non expanding fireproof coatings are excellent modern steel structure insulation fireproof coatings.

Construction method:

1, Grassroots treatment: Before construction, thoroughly remove dust, oil stains, and floating rust from the steel parts to be sprayed, and apply alkali resistant and rust resistant primer.

2, Bottom construction method:

When applying fire-resistant coatings on I-beams, H-beams, and rectangular steels with a width of less than 300mm, the base material can be roughened before the fire-resistant coating can be applied.

When applying fire-resistant coatings on I-beams, H-beams, and rectangular steels with a width of less than 300mm, mesh treatment is required before the application of fire-resistant coatings. Steel plate mesh or metal mesh can be selected, and fixed with welded steel bars or bonded insulation nails.

3, Construction of Fireproof Coatings

1. The construction of the first layer of fireproof coating is carried out by adding a powder: glue: water ratio of 3:1:2 (the ratio of powder and glue can be adjusted appropriately according to the construction site situation). The matching glue of the fireproof coating and an appropriate amount of water are fully mixed, and the construction should be carried out by spraying. The coating thickness is generally below 5mm.

2. Spray the first layer of fireproof coating when 70-80% is dry (about 24 hours later); If the bottom layer is relatively dry, water can be sprayed first to moisten it before proceeding with the construction of the second layer, starting from the second layer. The construction thickness of each layer can be between 8-10mm until it reaches the fireproof design thickness, and the construction can be carried out by spraying or wiping.

3. During interlayer construction, the surface of the fireproof coating should not be smooth and can be made into a rough surface, which is conducive to the bonding of the upper and lower layers.

4. When constructing the top of the equipment skirt and steel structure, a slope of 30 ºC -45 ºC should be made for the fireproof coating. After the coating is dry, the top of the slope must be sealed with outdoor sealant.

5. When constructing fireproof coatings for thick steel structures in summer, it is necessary to prevent the coating from drying too quickly, causing cracking or hollowing of the coating. The coating should be properly cured in a timely manner.

Maintenance method: Wrap the coating with plastic film to control the surface drying time. When scraping the rough or intermediate layer during construction, an appropriate amount of reinforcing agent can be added, with a ratio of 5% to 8% of the powder. Prevent direct sunlight from shining on the coating, sprinkle appropriate water on the coating surface to control the drying time of the coating surface, and reduce the cracking or hollowing phenomenon and range of the coating.

6. During winter construction, thick steel structure fireproof coatings should be anti freezing and prevent the coating from freezing before drying. The construction environment temperature should be above 5 ºC, and attention should also be paid to the construction time period.

7. Precautions:

1) The construction environment temperature should be between 5-35 ºC, and the relative humidity should not exceed 80%. When there is rain or condensation on the surface of components, the wind speed is greater than 5m/s, and it is not suitable to work. Before each construction coating is dry, avoid rain.

2) The material prevents moisture and rainwater from entering, and if it becomes damp, it will become ineffective.

Packaging and Transportation:

2. Outdoor non expansion steel structure fireproof coating. This product is packaged in woven bags lined with plastic bags, with a weight of 25kg per bag. It should be stored in a well ventilated, dry warehouse with a temperature above 0 ºC.

2. This product is a non combustible, non explosive, non-toxic, and non corrosive safety product for outdoor non expansion steel structure fireproof coatings. During storage and transportation, attention should be paid to moisture-proof, sun proof, rain proof, and powder materials that are prone to water and clumping should not be used.

3. Outdoor non expansion steel structure fireproof coatings are non hazardous products and are transported as general materials. The storage time of this product should not exceed 6 months.

4. During transportation, it is necessary to prevent rain, direct sunlight, and hooks, and to comply with the relevant regulations of the transportation department.
