Vermiculite board is a new type of thermal insulation and fireproof material.

 

1. Main components:
   • Expanded vermiculite: This is the core component of vermiculite board. It is a natural and inorganic mineral belonging to the mica family. Its main chemical composition is hydrated magnesium-aluminum-iron silicate. It has the characteristic of expanding when heated. Under high temperature, its volume can increase several times, forming many tiny voids and sheet structures, bringing good thermal insulation, sound absorption and other properties to the vermiculite board. Vermiculite has various colors, commonly golden yellow, brown, etc.
   • Binder: Inorganic binders such as cement and sodium silicate are usually used to bond vermiculite particles together to form a board. The vermiculite board bonded with cement has good bonding performance and strength; the vermiculite board bonded with sodium silicate has good stability in a humid environment and will form a hard silicon gel after drying, enhancing the overall performance of the board.
2. Product characteristics:
   • Excellent fireproof performance: It belongs to non-combustible materials, and its combustion performance reaches grade A. Its main raw materials are inorganic materials and there is no carbon element, so it does not have the conditions for combustion. The melting point is between 1370°C and 1400°C, and the maximum service temperature can reach 1200°C. It can maintain structural stability in a high-temperature environment and can be used in high-temperature places for a long time, such as for furnace insulation and fireplace linings.
   • Good thermal insulation performance: The void structure formed by expanded vermiculite in vermiculite board makes it have a low thermal conductivity coefficient, which can effectively prevent the transfer of heat and achieve good thermal insulation effects. It can be applied to building roofs, floor insulation, etc.
   • Environmentally friendly: Composed of inorganic materials, it does not contain harmful substances. Even at high temperatures, it does not release toxic and harmful gases such as formaldehyde and benzene.
   • Excellent impact resistance: Made by pressing specially developed fireproof glue and expanded vermiculite, it has high strength and toughness.
   • Good sound insulation: Its structure can absorb and block the spread of sound and is suitable for places with high acoustic effect requirements, such as concert halls, theaters, conference rooms, etc.
